On the occasion of UNESCO's celebration of the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage 2019, the Musée d'ethnographie de Genève (MEG) and the United Music Foundation join forces to finalize the preservation of the prestigious collection of audio recordings made by Samuel Baud-Bovy and his team. This collection was acquired by the MEG in 2017.
These historical recordings were made on audio tape between 1954 and 1980 during research missions in various regions of Greece (Crete, Aegina, Thessaly and Macedonia), as well as Turkey, Cyprus and Malta.
This preservation project was made possible thanks to the support of Memoriav.
Myrology (funeral dirge)
